Scientific Relevance
The relevance and scientific/technological importance of organizing the Conference/ Seminar/ Symposium in the context of the present-day National needs.
This scientific meeting is part of the Indo-French Laboratory of Solid-State Chemistry (IFLaSC). IFLaSC in English or LaFICS in French is an Associated International Laboratory created in 2003 between the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), a French public scientific and technological institution, the Université de Caen Basse Normandie (UCBN), the Université de Strasbourg, Alsace public scientific and professional institutions and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Several laboratories and institutions linked to the CNRS, UCBN and IISc are involved in LaFICS, details are provided below:
IFLaSC is a bilateral scientific collaboration that aims to develop scientific cooperation between France and India. The mandate of the IFLaSc is to promote collaborative research between India and France in cutting-edge Science and Technology. This bilateral program provides funding for international mobility among researchers and encourage the emergence of new partnerships. The objective of this meeting is to develop science and technology exchanges of excellence between research laboratories in the two partner countries by encouraging new cooperation schemes in energy and materials science relevant to the context of present-day National needs.
